What is the legal ruling regarding someone who divorced his wife with three separate divorces, sometimes due to anger and other times at the wife's request?

The spouses are advised to fear Allah, fulfill their rights, and be forgiving. The husband bears the responsibility of qawamah (guardianship) and is enjoined to treat women well. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Treat women kindly," and "The most perfect in faith among the believers is the best in character, and the best of you are those who are best to their wives." The wife is obligated to obey her husband, for in it lies the pleasure of Allah. It was reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Any woman who dies while her husband is pleased with her will enter Paradise." As for divorcing the wife three separate times, it makes her irrevocably divorced (baynunah kubra), and she is not lawful for him again until she marries another husband, unless the divorcer was in a state of anger wherein he lost consciousness. It is advised to resort to the Sharia court for a solution.
