Is it permissible for an engaged girl to formalize her marriage contract (aqd qiran) without her family's consent if they stipulate that she must secure a job, out of fear of falling into haram?

A girl's marriage should be hastened if a man of good character and religious commitment proposes to her, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If there comes to you one whose character and religious commitment you approve, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." Delaying marriage until she finds a job is wrong and unjust. The woman can try to convince her family or seek mediation from someone who can explain to them that delaying marriage without a legitimate Shar'i justification is a form of 'adhl (unjust prevention of marriage). If the father refuses, she can refer the matter to the Shar'i judge, who will marry her off or order one of her guardians to do so, because guardianship transfers to the more distant guardian if the closer one unjustly prevents the marriage. If even the more distant guardian unjustly prevents it, the judge will marry her off, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If they dispute, then the ruler is the guardian of the one who has no guardian." The injustice of parents does not permit disobedience to them. It is advised to hold fast to Allah, rely on Him, avoid temptation, learn about religious matters, choose righteous company, and persist in supplication.
