Will the disbeliever be resurrected blind, deaf, and mute? How will that be? What are the descriptions of Paradise and its people, and the descriptions of Hellfire and its people?

There is no doubt that the disbeliever will be gathered on the Day of Resurrection blind, mute, and deaf, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, mute, and deaf; their refuge is Hell." Al-Qurtubi explained that gathering them on their faces means dragging them to it, not merely hurrying them, citing a hadith from Anas. As for their being "blind, mute, and deaf," it was said that they are blind to what pleases them, mute from argumentation, and deaf to what benefits them, while retaining their senses. Alternatively, they are gathered in this state to increase their torment, and then their senses are returned to them in the Fire so they may witness its torment. It was also said that they will become so after being told, "Remain disgraced therein and do not speak to Me."
