Everyone in this world is tested, and a believer is content with Allah's decree. Thus, their patience and seeking reward from Allah are a great good. Calamities are not necessarily punishments; rather, they may be trials or expiations for sins. Regarding divorce, if the mufti is a reputable authority, then disregard obsessive thoughts and resume your marital life. Be careful not to utter the words of divorce. The occurrence of an innovated divorce (talaq bid'i) is a matter of dispute among scholars, and whoever finds it more convincing that it does not occur may act upon that. Medication does not affect faith except indirectly, such as by causing a decline in worship. Strive to purify yourself and do not pay attention to obsessive thoughts about feeling that you have a great status or that you will be the caliph of Muslims. Rather, repel them and entrust your affairs to Allah.
