Is a girl entitled to keep the dowry after the annulment of the marriage due to the husband's cancer, and how is it to be returned?

If the type of cancer causes natural aversion and prevents the purpose of marriage, the wife is given the option to annul the marriage if she was unaware of it, did not consent to it, or did not consummate the marriage after becoming aware of it.

If she annuls the marriage before consummation due to the illness, and the Mahr (dowry) has been paid to her, she must return it in full. This is because the defect was with the husband, and the separation originated from her side.

However, if the illness does not usually cause natural aversion, or if the wife was aware of it before the marriage contract, or if she consummated the marriage after becoming aware of it, she does not have the right to choose or annul the marriage.

If the husband divorces her by his choice before consummation, she is entitled to half of the stipulated Mahr.
