What should a committed girl do who lives in a foreign country and wishes to memorize the Qur'an and master Tajweed, while her family refuses her going to the mosque, and she finds difficulty in self-understanding the rules of Tajweed?

We thank the questioner for her steadfastness, adherence to religion, and eagerness to call others to Islam, and we urge her to remain firm. We advise her to supplicate frequently that Allah makes it easy for her to convince her family to go to the House of Allah to memorize the Qur'an and learn Tajweed. If she can convince them, that is a good thing, and she should seek help from those close to them.

If they insist on refusing, then the means that help in learning Tajweed and perfecting the recitation of the Qur'an are available, such as Al-Mushaf Al-Mu'allim by Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari. She can also look for sisters who are proficient in recitation to learn from them over the phone.
