Is it considered disbelief for a person to fear poverty and dread a lack of sustenance, leading them to refrain from having children? And how can a Muslim develop a good opinion of Allah regarding sustenance when it comes to procreation? And is it having a bad opinion of Allah for a person to fear that their supplication for sustenance will not be answered, despite their certainty that Allah will not wrong them?

The Muslim takes the necessary means, has a good opinion of Allah, and is certain that all of Allah's decrees are good. Allah has forbidden the killing of children for fear of poverty, clarifying that He, glory be to Him, is the Provider, and that children are a means of provision. Not having children for fear of poverty is not disbelief, but it is not befitting of a Muslim with complete faith. Having a good opinion of Allah necessitates entrusting all matters to Him, glory be to Him, and trusting in His excellent management, while being content with what He decrees and knowing that any affliction that befalls him is only due to his sin.
