The question

How can faith and certainty in the matter of sustenance be deepened, especially with the knowledge that Allah is Al-Razzaq (the Provider) and that what He has decreed will reach us, in order for this to align with the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: “Spend, O Bilal, and do not fear poverty from the Lord of the Throne”?

The answer

Increasingly, reading the Quran and contemplating its verses that speak about provision (rizq) and reliance on Allah, such as His Almighty saying: "And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you" (Quran 29:60), and "And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him" (Quran 6:17), and "Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it" (Quran 35:2).

Similarly, reflecting upon the hadith "Provision seeks the servant more intensely than his death," and contemplating the state of animals and birds for whom Allah provides, increases certainty and trust in Allah's promise. The Muslim should trust in this and have a good opinion of Allah.
