Is it permissible to give an outer garment for clothing without undergarments? And are a suit and trousers suitable as attire for clothing? And is it permissible to give clothes to a charity with the intention of expiating an oath without informing them?

Scholars have differed regarding the type of clothing that suffices as an expiation for an oath. The recognized clothing is that which suffices for prayer. For a man, this means a shirt or a garment that covers his awrah (private parts) and has a part of it on his shoulder. For a woman, it means a dress and a head covering (khimar). Trousers alone or underwear alone are not sufficient. If the charitable organization distributes clothing only to the needy, there is no need to inform them that it is an expiation. However, if they give it to the needy and others, then it is obligatory to inform them so that they give it only to the needy.
