What is your advice to a young man at the beginning of the path of righteousness?

The young man should ask Allah for steadfastness and rectitude, frequently recite the Quran with contemplation, adhere to acts of obedience, and associate with the virtuous while avoiding the wicked. He should also advise himself when he feels disheartened and shun bad companions, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The likeness of a bad companion is like that of the blacksmith's bellows; either it will burn your clothes, or you will find a noxious smell from it."
