ما الرد المناسب على من يدعي بأن الحياة كذبة؟

Lying is reporting something contrary to reality. Life is not a lie in its true sense, as it is something observable and known. However, the speaker might mean that life is fleeting and full of vexations, as in the Almighty’s saying: ﴿And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion﴾, and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Verily, everything besides Allah is vain." The speaker might also be expressing discontent with life and weariness of it, which is a grave matter where one's objection returns to their Lord, as in his (peace be upon him) saying: "Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: 'The son of Adam harms Me; he curses time, though I am time.'" Therefore, the intent of the speaker should be considered, but life is not a lie, for lying pertains to reports, and life is a reality.
