What is the Sharia ruling on ridiculing villagers, and what are the evidences that prohibit discrimination among Muslims and its punishment in Islam, especially when dealing with colleagues who ridicule and degrade the dignity of others?

Titles such as nationality, rurality, or urbanity hold no value in the Law of Allah. The sole criterion for superiority in the sight of Allah is piety, as He Almighty said: "Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also said: "There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab, nor for a red-skinned over a black-skinned, except by piety." Islam rejects differentiation based on lineage, color, or nationality, considering these distinctions matters of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance). There is no harm in belonging to a country or tribe for identification, but discrimination and boasting are rejected. It is not permissible to discriminate in treatment between a villager and an urban dweller. Selling a commodity at a higher price to a villager is permissible if there is no fraud or deception, but what often happens is the exploitation of the villager's ignorance of prices.
