What are the rulings of ritual purity (tahara) in the Maliki school of thought? Is one excused for continuous discharge (sals) impurity, even if it occurs once a day? Is it permissible to remain in clothes and pray in them for days without purifying them? Is it obligatory to remove the headscarf (mandil) and perform istinja' for every ablution (wudu')? Is the moisture on the trousers impure?

According to the Maliki madhhab, drops of urine are excused in the removal of impurity, and it is not obligatory to purify the body or clothes from them. As for ablution (wudu'), it is invalidated by these drops, and one must wait for them to cease, then perform ablution and pray. It is not obligatory to perform istinja' (washing the private parts) or remove the impurity. It is advisable to ignore whispers (waswas) and be wary of them.
