What is the manner of sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and what are the conditions that must be met for it to be accepted (such as minor and major ritual purity, facing the Qibla, and general appearance)?

Praying upon the Prophet is a supplication considered among the best deeds. The best of its forms is what the Prophet taught his Companions: "O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed the family of Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, grant grace to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You granted grace to the family of Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious." If one prays with another form, there is no objection. It is recommended to observe mindfulness, purity, and facing the Qibla, though these etiquettes are not obligatory. The acceptance of deeds rests with Allah, and it is incumbent upon the servant to show sincerity and excellence.
