The obligation upon adolescents and others during Ramadan is to perform religious duties, such as praying in congregation, and to abstain from forbidden acts, such as disobeying parents and lying. Immoral acts can be avoided by being mindful of God's constant watchfulness and the sanctity of Ramadan, and by turning to God and seeking His help. As for a person in a state of ritual impurity (junub): if it is due to a wet dream, it is not described as permissible or forbidden because it is beyond one's control; but if it is due to masturbation, it is forbidden for both married and unmarried individuals. However, it does not invalidate the fast unless semen is ejaculated.
