Can a place defiled by madhiy be purified with a half-damp sponge?

Madhī (pre-seminal fluid) is impure, and its location must be purified by pouring water over it until the impurity itself and its traces, such as color and odor, are removed, just like other impurities. Some scholars have said that nadḥ (sprinkling water) is sufficient for its purification. As for wiping, it is not sufficient to purify madhī, but it may be useful in purifying what washing would damage, such as a silk garment.
