Is the story true about the Companion who hit a wall after looking at a beautiful woman? And does it have a continuation?

The hadith speaks of a man who intended to touch a woman who was a harlot in the جاهلية (pre-Islamic era of ignorance). She pushed him away and reminded him of Islam. The man left her, but he stumbled into a wall as he walked away. He then informed the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about this. The Prophet said to him: "You are a servant whom Allah intended good for." Then he explained that when Allah intends good for His servant, He hastens the punishment for his sin, and when He intends ill for him, He withholds the punishment for his sin until the Day of Judgment.
