What is the meaning of the noble verse: "We have certainly created man in hardship (toil, struggle)"? And will Allah assist us in hardships in this world, at the time of death, in the grave, and on the Day of Resurrection?

The interpretation of the verse, "We have certainly created man in hardship," carries two meanings: First, that man was created upright; and second, that he was created amidst difficulty and struggle. This world is a realm of trial and hardship, and trials have divine wisdoms, among them is to prevent one from becoming complacent with it. A believer should have good thoughts of Allah and rely upon Him, strive in acts of obedience, and confront the whispers of Satan by seeking refuge [in Allah] and not giving in to them, while being wary of obsessive doubts concerning purity. Remembering death is a motivator for righteous deeds, and the remembrance of Allah Almighty is a cause for the heart's tranquility, especially through reading the Quran and prescribed adhkar. Good companionship, listening to beneficial audios, spreading goodness, and persistent supplication contribute to inner peace and the soul's tranquility.
