Is it permissible to combine and shorten prayers in places where a traveler stays for a day or two during his three-month study trip?

If the distance you will travel for tourism is 83 kilometers or more from the boundaries of your city, and your stay is less than four days, then you are permitted to avail yourself of the travel concessions: shortening prayers (qasr), combining them (jam‘), and breaking the fast in Ramadan.

However, if the distance is less than that, or you intend to stay for four days or more, then the ruling of travel ceases for you, and you pray the prayer of a resident.
