How many prophets and messengers are mentioned in the Holy Quran, and what are their names and the names of their fathers?

The number of prophets and messengers mentioned in the Quran is twenty-five. Eighteen of them are mentioned in Surah Al-An'am, and the remaining seven are: Idris, Hud, Shu'aib, Salih, Dhul-Kifl, Adam, and our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon them all. The Quran and Sunnah mention the names of the fathers of some prophets, such as Muhammad's father: Abdullah, Ibrahim's father: Azar, Ishaq's father: Ibrahim, Ya'qub's father: Ishaq, Yusuf's father: Ya'qub, Ismail's father: Ibrahim, Sulaiman's father: Dawud, Musa and Harun's father: Imran, and Yahya's father: Zakariya.
