What is the ruling on one who swore an oath upon the Qur'an that he would not deliver goods to anyone whose name was not recorded on the invoice, then proceeded to do so, knowing that a customer from another area might call to order goods?

It is not permissible for employees to violate their employer's orders. Whoever violates what they have sworn upon has broken their oath and is liable for an expiation for breaking an oath (kaffarat yamin). The expiation for breaking an oath is feeding ten poor persons, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. If one is unable to do that, then they must fast for three days. And let them seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty for violating their employer's orders.
