Must a Muslim woman cover herself in the presence of a homosexual man?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Sodomy is an abominable indecency that necessitates the death penalty for both the perpetrator and the recipient. No one may be accused of committing sodomy unless there is legal proof, such as their confession or the testimony of four upright witnesses. Otherwise, the accuser would be a slanderer deserving of eighty lashes, as Allah Almighty says: (And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and never accept their testimony thereafter. And those are the defiantly disobedient) (An-Nur: 4). A Muslim woman must cover herself, and the emphasis on covering and exercising caution is even greater with regard to wicked and immoral men.
