Is a singular prostration of recitation valid for one who entered the mosque while the Imam was prostrating, and was unable to reach the row, then completed his prayer with the congregation?

The latecomer [ma'mum] should not prostrate for the prostration of recitation (Sajdat al-Tilawah) if he intends to join the Imam, unless he is listening to the recitation with the intention of listening. In that case, he should prostrate with the Imam even if he is not praying behind him.
