How can a person balance thinking about the future and sufficient remembrance of death, while avoiding falling into arrogance?

A Muslim should contemplate the distant future and their destiny after death, for the Quran states: "Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire," and "A party in Paradise and a party in the Blaze." The Prophet encouraged remembering death by saying: "Remember often the destroyer of pleasures [i.e., death]." As for the near future, one should take the necessary means and rely on Allah, without becoming engrossed in it. Arrogance should be avoided by being humble before Allah and attributing all blessings to Him.
