Is the waning enthusiasm for reading religious books—despite maintaining prayer—after marriage and childbirth considered a worldly distraction, and how can children be raised without resorting to anger?

Serving the husband and children and caring for them is a righteous deed and a great obligation. This should not, however, distract the woman from seeking the obligatory religious knowledge. She can balance between the two by utilizing her time listening to what benefits her. She should seek Allah's help in her deeds and with her children. To deal with nervousness and outbursts towards children, one must strive against oneself and be forbearing, seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan when angry, and deal gently and kindly with their minor mistakes, for gentleness adorns everything it is in.
