A woman in a state of stress asked her husband for a divorce; what is incumbent upon her?

It is not permissible for a woman to seek divorce unless there is a valid reason, such as ill-treatment by the husband, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Any woman who asks her husband for divorce without a sound reason, the fragrance of Paradise will be forbidden to her." If she does so in anger, she must seek forgiveness. Both spouses must be patient and use kind words, and the angry person should control their actions and speech.
