Is it permissible for a primary school teacher to go on a school trip that requires travel distance and the presence of a mahram, given that she cannot justify not going due to the mahram issue, and does she have a concession to go out since she is a class educator?

The majority of scholars hold that it is impermissible for a woman to travel without a mahram. Some of them made an exception for obligatory Hajj or Umrah, provided there is a safe companion. Accordingly, it is not permissible for a female teacher to travel with students over a distance that is considered travel. Imam An-Nawawi emphasized that any journey deemed "travel" is forbidden for a woman without a husband or mahram. Justifying the travel by claiming it's unavoidable or that she is a class teacher is not a legitimate Sharia excuse. A woman can excuse herself due to special circumstances without embarrassment.
