Is it permissible to marry from outside the town, and how can one atone for a past sin that caused social problems?

One should thank Allah for His blessings, repent sincerely, distance oneself from environments of disobedience, and associate with righteous people. If the disobedience is between a person and their Lord, they should conceal themselves and not disclose it, while not despairing of Allah's mercy. There is no objection to marrying a woman from another country, as Muslims are brothers.
