Is a person considered a hypocrite if they draw near to God through supplication and repentance in times of hardship, feeling sadness and weariness from the delay in relief, despite knowing that it is impermissible to hasten God's mercy?

Allah’s testing of His servants with tribulations is a sign of His kindness towards them, so that they may turn to Him in repentance and draw near to Him. The servant’s drawing near to his Lord during tribulation is not blameworthy; rather, what is blameworthy is he who supplicates intensely during hardship and then denies Allah’s blessings after it has passed. There is no harm in hastening Allah’s mercy and wishing for prayers to be answered, but the servant must not abandon supplication if the answer is delayed. He who was close to Allah in prosperity is more deserving of an answer in hardship, but this does not close the door of response to those who draw near during tribilation. Patience, frequent remembrance of Allah (dhikr), and supplication are recommended.
