Is there any tradition or report about anyone who let his beard grow until it reached his navel?

The apparent meaning of the hadiths indicates leaving the beard as it was created. The Prophet's beard, peace and blessings be upon him, filled his chest, and similarly, the beards of the Companions and the righteous predecessors were like that, and we have not received any report that the beard of any of them reached his navel. Some scholars permitted taking what exceeded a fistful, based on the actions of Ibn Umar and Abu Hurayrah. However, it is preferable to leave it, unless it is excessively long or wide in an immoderate way. Malik permitted taking from what became disheveled or strayed from the beard.
