Is it permissible to place the Glorious Name [of God] in the middle of a public square, similar to placing statues?

It is disliked to write the Beautiful Names of Allah or the Quran on walls and in public places, due to the humiliation this entails for them or the abandonment of the obligatory veneration due to them. Furthermore, the purpose of this is often ornamentation rather than remembrance and admonition. Additionally, the wicked and the immoral frequent these places, which exposes the writings to desecration or the possibility of the writing falling off, as mentioned by the jurists.
