Is it permissible to marry someone whose money is mixed [with unlawful sources]?

The marriage is valid if it fulfills its legal conditions and pillars, and it is not invalidated by paying the dowry and marriage expenses from commingled funds. Whoever has commingled funds must purify his wealth from unlawful money by returning it to its rightful owners if they are found, or by spending it for the benefit of Muslims. The ruling on a marriage that was conducted with commingled funds is valid as long as the legal conditions are met. The husband must repent and return the unlawful money to its owners, or donate it on their behalf to charitable causes if he is unable to return it.
