What is the ruling on the previous prayers performed by the questioner at home before the Imam completed the Jumu’ah prayer, and does awaiting the Imam include other prayers like Dhuhr, Asr, and Maghrib?

One who misses Friday prayer without a valid excuse commits a sin. He should not pray Dhuhr before the Imam finishes the Friday prayer. If he prays before the Imam finishes, his prayer is not valid according to many jurists. As for one who has a valid excuse, it is still better for him not to pray Dhuhr until after the Imam has finished, even though the opinion of most scholars is that his prayer is valid even if he prays before the Imam's prayer. This difference of opinion is specific to Friday prayer and does not apply to other prayers.
