Whoever has many missed prayers must make them up at any time, as long as it does not harm their body or livelihood. It is permissible to make up five days' worth of prayers (22 obligatory prayers) daily if possible, and if that is difficult, then two days' worth of prayers daily. Study, essential duties, and obedience to parents are considered excuses for delaying making up prayers, based on the opinion that making up prayers is not obligatory immediately. If the current prayer is missed in congregation, making up the missed prayers takes precedence, unless one fears that the time for the current prayer will expire, in which case the current prayer takes precedence obligatorily due to the order.
