What is the ruling on the marriage of a man who has an elderly mother, and wishes to protect himself (from sin), provide for her (the new wife), and serve his mother, while his treacherous wife is still under his marital bond, and she possesses gold that belongs to him, and what advice is directed to him?

If what was mentioned about the wife regarding betrayal and theft is true, then she has committed a reprehensible act, disobeyed her Lord, and neglected her husband's rights. She must offer sincere repentance. If she repents and her condition improves, her husband should keep her to maintain family stability. If she does not repent, he should separate from her, as there is no good for him in keeping her. Divorce is recommended when a woman neglects God's rights or is unchaste. It is not permissible for him to leave her in limbo, and he must marry to protect himself from falling into zina if he fears it, and he should repay the debt whenever it becomes easy for him to do so.
