The answer

Scholars are in agreement regarding the prohibition of private seclusion with a non-mahram woman, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) prohibition of it, as he said: "No man should seclude himself with a woman except if there is a mahram with her," and his saying: "Beware of entering upon women." The prohibition of seclusion is not restricted to the intention of lust, because the intention of lust is inherently forbidden, as Allah Almighty says: "Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts" and "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way."
