How can one deal with a person who claims to offer assistance with employment and publicizes it, causing severe psychological distress and thoughts of leaving one's job?
"Al-Mann" (reproaching or reminding someone of a favor) is forbidden and is among the major sins, according to the agreed-upon narrated by Abu Dharr: "There are three whom Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful torment: the one who lets his garment drag [out of arrogance], the one who reminds others of his favors, and the one who sells his merchandise by false oath." In some narrations of Muslim, the "Mannan" (one who reminds others of his favors) is defined as one who gives nothing except with reproach.
