Is there a Hadith concerning one who abandons prayer, and will his mother be tormented on the Day of Judgment?

Many scholars have used prophetic hadiths such as: "Between a servant and disbelief is the abandonment of prayer," and "The covenant between us and them is prayer; whoever abandons it has disbelieved," to argue that the one who abandons prayer is a disbeliever, an apostate from the faith. There are weak or fabricated hadiths that condemn the one who abandons prayer, but his condemnation is sufficient in that he is threatened with severe punishment, and the Sharia has described him as a disbeliever. As for the mother being tormented on the Day of Judgment because her son abandons prayer, Allah Almighty does not punish a soul for the sin of another, in accordance with His saying: "Every soul, for what it has earned, is retained," and "And every soul earns not [anything] except for itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." However, the mother may be held accountable if she was negligent in his education, upbringing, and admonition.
