What is the ruling on wearing a "bow tie" if it is a religious symbol associated with the Crusades?

If the papillon (bow tie) is a symbol of the Crusades, then it is not permissible for a Muslim to wear it, because it involves imitating disbelievers, which is forbidden by Islamic law. As for the necktie, there is no harm in wearing it, unless the person intends by wearing it to express love for disbelievers and attachment to imitating them, because "whoever loves a people is one of them."
