Is what I am doing – reciting the Quran and supplicating in my remembrance before sleep and on my way to work – to treat premature ejaculation correct, and are there other means or verses that can be followed?

We do not know how you can suffer from premature ejaculation while you are unmarried. This may be an illusion or a result of masturbation. You must abandon it due to its many harms, including premature ejaculation.

If the cause is masturbation, then by abandoning it, it is hoped that it will disappear after marriage. If it persists after marriage, begin foreplay with your wife before penetration, and you can consult a doctor. Weak hadiths have been narrated regarding the desirability of foreplay with one's spouse before penetration, and their meaning is acceptable.

Regarding supplications (du'as), what is established in the Sunnah is valid, and anything else is permissible provided it is not made a permanent litany. There is no harm in reciting verses of healing, but the most complete approach is treatment with what is authentically reported. We do not advise placing the hand on the private parts during ruqyah (exorcism), for fear of disrespecting the Qur'an, and the problem is not an apparent disease in the private parts.

In summary: Do not delay marriage because of this problem; it may be an illusion, and if it persists, medications can be used after consulting a doctor.
