According to the majority of scholars, madhy (pre-seminal fluid) is impure, but it is a minor impurity for which sprinkling water (nadh) suffices, without the need for washing or scrubbing. This means pouring water over the spot until it is covered. Scholars have differed regarding a small amount of madhy impurity. Impurity is not transferred merely by doubt; rather, certain conviction is required. If a garment contaminated with wet madhy touches the bed, only the area of the bed that came into contact with the impurity becomes defiled.
