A woman's 'iddah (waiting period) is six months in specific cases:

1. A divorced woman who menstruates: If she does not menstruate until six months or more have passed, until she completes her 'iddah of three menstrual cycles. 2. A divorced pregnant woman: If the duration of her pregnancy takes six months or more until she delivers her entire pregnancy.

The 'iddah does not reach six months in the following cases:

1. A widow who is not pregnant: Her 'iddah is four months and ten days. 2. A woman who does not menstruate due to old age, young age, or illness: Her 'iddah is three months.
