Are the forbidden statues those that are complete, or do they include the head or a part of the body, and is it permissible to gift them to a friend from among the People of the Book, or must they be disposed of by breaking them?

The head of a statue is an image that must be destroyed, and angels do not enter a house in which there is the head of a statue. This is based on what Al-Tirmidhi narrated and authenticated from Abu Hurairah, that Jibreel (Gabriel) was prevented from entering the Prophet’s house due to the presence of a statue at the door. Gifting the head of a statue is not permissible for a Muslim or a disbeliever, as it constitutes assisting in sin. The obligation is to smash these statues.
