The answer

It is not permissible to give charity from the money of the shop owned by your father except with his consent, because the money is his, and no person's money is lawful [for another] except with his willing consent. It is not permissible for anyone to give charity from the money of another without his permission, except for what is customary and for which the owner's consent is known. Permission is of two types: explicit, and understood from custom and habit. If custom is disturbed and the owner's consent is doubted, then it is not permissible to give charity except with his explicit permission. If the questioner is keen on giving charity, he will be rewarded for his sincere intention, even if he does not actually give charity.
