What is the Sharia ruling on the government forming a singing band that receives a fixed salary in exchange for singing at events?

The prevalent characteristic of these groups is that their singing is accompanied by musical instruments. If this is the case for the aforementioned group, then it is not permissible to work with them nor to accept payment for that singing.
