Is the Oneness of Fear and Hope the path leading to reliance upon Allah (Tawakkul) and certainty (Yaqin), and does Allah deliver His Awliya' (devout servants/saints) through it from the adversities of this world and the Hereafter?

Reliance on Allah is a state composed of multiple elements, the most important of which are: the servant’s knowledge of his Lord and His attributes, such as power and sufficiency; the affirmation of means while not depending on them with the heart; the heart’s firm establishment in the Tawhid (definition) of reliance, such that it turns to no one but Allah; the heart’s dependence on Allah and its tranquility with Him; a good opinion of Allah; and then absolute entrustment of all matters to Allah Almighty. This is because it is part of Allah’s Tawhid and singling Him out in dependence, and it is a cause for salvation from hardships and distress.
