Does fasting from dawn on the first day of Eid until after the Eid prayer count as one day?

It is recommended to fast the first nine days of Dhul-Hijjah, based on the hadith of Ibn Abbas that righteous deeds performed on these days are more beloved to Allah than on other days, and the hadith of Hafsa that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, never used to abandon them. As for fasting on the day of Eid, it is forbidden by the consensus of Muslims. It is also recommended for one who has an animal for sacrifice not to eat on the day of Eid al-Adha until he has eaten from it.
