Is it permissible for a woman to leave Baghdad for Syria with her children and her husband's family before the completion of her iddah, after her husband was killed and their home was seized, given her fear for herself and her children?

The basic principle is that a woman should observe her 'iddah (waiting period) in the house where she received the news of her husband's death, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Furay'ah bint Malik, may Allah be pleased with her: "Stay in your house where the news of your husband's death reached you until the prescribed period reaches its end." However, if the woman fears for herself by remaining there, due to the presence of an enemy or the absence of someone to manage her responsibilities and affairs, it is permissible for her to move to another place or another town to observe her 'iddah. Therefore, there is no harm for the woman in moving to Syria and completing her 'iddah there.
