The question

What are the boundaries of a woman's awrah (intimate parts) in front of other women? What is the permissible attire at home in front of mahram relatives and at a swimming club? Does the hadith "women who are clothed yet naked" apply to this situation?

The answer

The awrah (intimate parts) of a woman in relation to another woman is what is between the navel and the knee, according to the majority of jurists. It is permissible for a woman to wear wide trousers that do not reveal the size of the awrah and do not resemble men's clothing. As for tight clothing, some scholars have forbidden it in front of women, while others have disliked it but not prohibited it. It is preferable for a woman to wear a covering shirt over trousers, or one that reaches the knee. Tight swimwear is forbidden because it clings to the body when wet, reveals the awrah, and causes fitnah (temptation/strife). The awrah of a man is from the navel to the knee. It is disliked for both men and women to have their awrah defined by tight clothing. However, the awrah being defined by sitting is something that may not be avoidable, and it is similar to it being defined by wind.
