Is it permissible to name one's son "Seth," after the son of Prophet Adam, given that Muslims have a right to these names and to inform people about the children of the Prophets?

There is no religious impediment to naming a child Sheth. The mere weakness of the hadith in which this name is mentioned does not prevent naming a child with it, as long as it does not contain a reason for prohibition.
